Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms and Conditions Applicable to all attendees


1.1. Ticket Terms
Tickets are not transferable after 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017 and any attempted transfer must be in accordance with the Registration Substitutions Policy and Registration Amendment Policy below. The person whose name appears on the badge is the only person eligible to gain entry to Microsoft Summit 2017 (“Event”).

1.2. Rates
Rates listed are in Australian dollars and include credit card fees.

1.3. Registration Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail to support@microsoftsummit.com.au. Cancellations received on or before 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017 will receive a full refund minus $165.00 (includes GST) processing fee. Any cancellations after this date will not receive a refund. No cancellation fee will be charged to Gold and Silver Competency Partners who have pre-paid tickets as no refunds can occur on these tickets.

1.4. Registrations Substitutions and Amendment Policy
• Substitutions and amendments of attendees’ names can be made via your attendee profile or a request emailed to support@microsoftsummit.com.au. These requests will be accepted up until 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017.
• No substitutions will be accepted after 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017.
• A new attendee may substitute for a confirmed registration provided the new attendee meet the requirements of the ticket terms.
• All registration substitution requests will be reviewed by a Microsoft Summit Lead.
• Substitutions are not guaranteed and are subject to Microsoft Pty Ltd’s (“Microsoft”) sole discretion and approval.

1.5. Event Cancellation Policy
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Microsoft reserves the right to cancel or change any event activity. In the event Microsoft cancels the entire Event all booking fees will be refunded, less third party ticket and credit card payment processing expenses. Microsoft does not accept any liability for any accommodation, travel or associated bookings or costs made or incurred by any event attendee.

1.6. Payment Policy
Accepted payment method is by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). Credit card transactions will appear on your statement from Promtel Pty Ltd Castle Hill (ABN 87 067 030 880), the authorised registration provider for the Microsoft Summit 2017. Credit card charges fees are as follows: Visa and Mastercard 2.5%, AMEX 3.5%.
All ticket payments must be received in full prior to arrival on site to allow entry to the Event.

1.7. Microsoft Right to Cancel Ticket and Refuse Entry
• Microsoft reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel any ticket purchased and will refund in full all monies paid by the purchaser for that ticket, less third party credit card transaction and associated processing fees.
• Microsoft also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reasonably refuse entry to any person to Microsoft Summit 2017.

1.8. Internet Usage Onsite
The Microsoft Summit 2017 event network is provided at the discretion of Microsoft to delegates for business use while at the event. For the purpose of ensuring network integrity and compliance with Microsoft security policies, Microsoft may monitor and collect data conducting subsequent analysis on the network traffic. Microsoft reserves the right to remove access from anyone who is reasonably suspected to have undertaken activity on the network that is inappropriate, illegal or has a detrimental impact on the performance on the network including that of other delegates' connectivity availability.

1.9. Badges
• For the purposes of Microsoft Summit 2017 and for this document, Badges are defined as an event card bearing identifying information such as a person’s name, company name and serves as the attendee’s entry ticket.
• Badges are distributed upon check-in at the Microsoft Summit 2017.
• For safety and security reasons, it is a requirement of the delegate to wear their badge at all times whilst at the International Convention Centre.
• Lost badges may be replaced at a cost of $110 (includes GST). This fee will be donated to a nominated charity by Microsoft, of Microsoft’s choice. Please note that all donations of these monies will be made on behalf of Microsoft and purchaser of the replacement ticket will not be entitled to a tax invoice for this donation.

1.10. Microsoft Privacy Policy
Microsoft values your feedback and privacy. By registering to attend Microsoft Summit 2017 and/or using the event network, your personal information may be collected and used by Microsoft (which includes disclosure to third parties) for the purposes of processing your registration, conducting Microsoft Summit 2017, allowing you to access to the Event network, and for publicity purposes surrounding Microsoft Summit 2017. You consent to the use of your personal information as described. You may access and/or change your data by following the procedures set out in Microsoft’s privacy policy.

1.11. Photography and Filming Policy
During the Event, you may be photographed or filmed and the images or footage may be used for internal and external promotional purposes. Should you wish not to be photographed or filmed while onsite please advise event staff onsite at the registration desk.

1.12. Microsoft Code of Conduct
Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more. This includes Microsoft events where we seek to create a respectful, friendly, fun and inclusive experience for all participants. We do not tolerate harassing or disrespectful behaviour, messages, images, or interactions by any participant, in any form, at any aspect of the program including business and social activities, regardless of location.

We do not tolerate any behaviour that is degrading to any gender, race, sexual orientation or disability, or any behaviour that would violate the company's Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, or Standards of Business Conduct.

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, or suspicious or disruptive activity to event management. Microsoft reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from an event at any time at its sole discretion.

1.13. Guarantees
These Terms and Conditions do not, nor do they purport to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantees provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other warranties (whether express or implied) under any state or federal legislation which cannot be excluded.

1.14. Compliance
Microsoft Australia reserves the right to eject individuals from the Microsoft Summit 2017 for misbehaviour and/or non-compliance with these Terms.

1.15. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded, Microsoft excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of your participation in the Microsoft Summit 2017 or any associated activities.

1.16. GST
All rates are displayed as cost (not including GST) + GST (GST cost only) unless where otherwise specified.

1.17. Receipts
Digital transaction receipts will be provided to all attendees paying via credit card as soon as the transaction has been completed. If for some reason you do not see a copy of your digital transaction receipt on your screen post successful completion of credit card payment, please contact support@microsoftsummit.com.au or phone: (+61) 1800 071 254 between the hours of 9am and 5pm AEST, on weekdays.

1.18. Invoicing
Invoicing will be available for all Partner group and individual ticketing sales to pay on account. Invoices provided before Friday 6 October, 2017, 5pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) are payable within 14 days upon receipt. All invoices provided after this time are payable within 7 days of receipt and will not be available for issue after Friday, 20 October 2017, 5pm Australia Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). Invoices not settled within the specified time will be rendered null and void, and no tickets will be issued unless otherwise specified or agreed in writing by an official Microsoft Summit delegate and via an official Microsoft Summit email account.

1.19. Identification
Valid identification will be required for ticketed attendees. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid passport or driver’s license. For accompanied minors aged 18 and under who do not hold a valid passport or driver’s license, acceptable forms of ID include a copy of a birth certificate and one of the following: a) Student ID card, b) Bus Pass, c) Bank Account Statement in the accompanied minor’s name.

1.20. Accompanied Minors
All minors aged 18 years old and under attending the Microsoft Summit Keynote event must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All minors under 18 years old attending the Microsoft Partner Summit must be in possession of a paid ticket and be accompanied by ticket-holding parent or guardian. All minors aged 18 years old and under attending the Microsoft Tech Summit must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may accompany a maximum of 3 minors aged 18 or under. The Microsoft Summit 2017 may require adults and minors to sign an “Accompanied Minor Form” for all accompanied minors in the event of an incident so that details are on record.

1.21. Microsoft Summit Opening Day Keynote
• The Microsoft Summit Opening Day Keynote on 14 November 2017 is open to all audience members in possession of a valid Microsoft Summit Badge.

1.22. Microsoft Summit Expo Experience
• The Microsoft Summit Expo Experience is open to all Microsoft Summit Attendees in possession of a valid Microsoft Summit Badge.
• For security reasons, this is a plenary-only facing event experience and is not open to the general public.


2. Business Summit


Top • Full day access to all Business Summit sessions, Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14th November and The Expo.
• Registering interest for the Business Summit does not gain automatic entry to Business sessions.
• Business sessions are restricted to certain delegates and tickets are provided in Microsoft’s sole discretion.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Partner Summit, unless the ticket holder has purchased a Partner Summit ticket.
• Only Executives from Australian Gold Competency Partners are eligible to apply to attend the Business Summit, and must have purchased a ticket for the Partner Summit to be eligible to attend the Business Summit. Executives have been defined as the following role types:

3. Partner Summit


Top 3.1. Ticket Types
Different terms and conditions apply according to the type of ticket purchased. Be sure to review the terms and conditions that apply to the ticket you are interested in carefully, in addition to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.1. Standard Partner Summit Ticket (2 days)
$899.00 plus GST $89.90
Dates available for purchase: 16 August until 14 November 2017
• Full two day access to: Partner Summit sessions, Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14th November, The Expo, and the Partner Celebration event on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• May be purchased by all Partners via the Partner Summit individual registration page on the Microsoft Summit 2017 website.
• Tickets are not transferable unless arranged with Prom-Tel on or before 11:59 pm (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017 11:59pm as provided in the Registration Substitution Policy. Amendment fees may apply (see General Terms and Conditions).
• There is no limit on the amount of tickets that may be purchased within the valid dates of 16 August until 14 November 2017.
• Cancellations received on or before 11:59pm (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017 will receive a full refund minus $165.00 (incl GST) processing fee.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid. As a part of your Partner Summit registration you will be given the option to tick a box to also attend Business Summit.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.2. Partner Summit Group 3+ Tickets (2 days)
$699.00 plus GST $69.90
Dates available for purchase: 16 August until 10 November 2017
• Full two day access to Partner Summit sessions, Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14th November, The Expo, and the Partner Celebration event on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• A minimum of 3 Partner Summit Tickets must be purchased to qualify for this offer.
• Once this Group Booking has been purchased, it cannot be:
1. upgraded to include extra tickets; or
2. downgraded to a lesser ticket number than the original booking.
• Cancellations will only be accepted for the entire Group Booking and must be received in writing on or before 11:59 PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017.
• Tickets are not transferable after 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017, and amendment fees may apply (see General Terms and Conditions).
• Valid for groups with 3+ tickets sold from one organisation.
• All tickets in a Group Booking must be purchased at the same time. Cancellations received on or before Friday 20 October 2017 will receive a full refund minus a AUD$165.00 (incl GST) processing fee per ticket. Part payment option not available for Group Tickets.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid. As a part of your Partner Summit registration you will be given the option to tick a box to also attend Business Summit.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.3. Partner Summit Celebration Evening Ticket (Wednesday 15 November)
$170.00 plus GST $17.00
Dates available for purchase: 16 August until 10 November 2017
• This ticket entitles the ticket holder access to the Partner Summit Celebration evening only on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• This ticket is only valid for use by delegates who are a current employee of a Microsoft Partner organisation; and that the same Microsoft Partner Organisation has purchased either a Microsoft Summit Standard Ticket, Group Ticket or Exhibit or Registration Paid Ticket.
• The number of Partner Summit Celebration Evening tickets available for purchase by a Microsoft Partner Organisation attending the Microsoft Summit is equivalent to the number of Paid attendee tickets purchased. (E.g. If a Microsoft Partner Organisation has 3 paid attendees with valid Microsoft Summit tickets, then the Microsoft Partner organisation can purchase 3 Partner Summit Celebration Evening tickets for either the same 3 paid attendees, or other 3 employee delegates, or a mix thereof.)
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.4. Australian Gold Competency Partner Pre-Paid Tickets
No additional charge for Microsoft Australia Gold Competency Partners (subject to the below terms).
Dates available: 16 August until 10 November 2017.
• Four tickets are available per Microsoft Gold Competency Partner, provided these partners are a) current with their Microsoft Partner Network subscription fees b) pay these fees in Australia and c) are approved for allocation by Marnie Fulmer.
• Refunds are not allowed for this ticket type.
• Executives from Australian Gold Competency Partners are eligible for applying for access to the Business Summit if they have purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit, or has a pre-paid ticket
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid. As a part of your Partner Summit registration you will be given the option to tick a box to also attend Business Summit.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.5. Australian Silver Competency Partner Pre-Paid Ticket
No additional charge for Microsoft Australia Silver Competency Partners (subject to the below terms).
Dates available: 16 August until 10 November 2017.
• Two tickets are available per Microsoft Silver Competency Partners provided these partners are a) current with their Microsoft Partner Network subscription fees and b) pay these fees in Australia and c) are approved for allocation by Marnie Fulmer.
• Refunds are not allowed for this ticket type.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.6. Additional Microsoft Partner Summit Exhibitor Tickets (excluded from Registration)
$500.00 plus GST $50.00
Dates available: Once contract is signed up until 11:59PM (AEST) until 10 November 2017
• Full two day access to all Partner Summit sessions Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14th November, The Expo, and the Partner Celebration event on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• Discount Codes are allocated by the Jack Morton Worldwide Sponsorship & Exhibition Manager once the Microsoft Summit Exhibitor contract is signed.
• The number of discount codes and the specific discount for each code provided are specific to the terms of the executed Exhibitor contract. As such, Jack Morton Worldwide reserves the right monitor registration and payment process.
• Only Sponsors/Exhibitors and elected delegates are eligible to redeem discount codes on the Microsoft Summit registration site.
• Additional sponsor/exhibitor tickets, beyond the agreed upon number specified in the executed exhibitor contract are limited to 2 per company.
• Discount codes provided by Jack Morton Worldwide are redeemable upon registration on the Microsoft Summit Partner registration site.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.7. Promotion Discounted Tickets (excluded from registration)
$699.00 plus GST $69.90
Tickets are available for purchase: 16 August until 10 November 2017
• These tickets are available at the discretion of a Microsoft Partner Summit Lead and subject to approval via promotion code redemption on the Microsoft Summit Registration site.
• Full two day access to Partner Summit sessions, Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14 November, The Expo, and the Partner Celebration event on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• Tickets are not transferable after 11:50 PM (AEST) on Friday 20 October 2017, amendment fees may apply (see General Terms and Conditions).
• There is no limit on the total number of promotion discounted tickets within the valid purchase dates.
• Cancellations received on or before Friday 20 October 2017 will receive a full refund minus $165.00 (incl GST) processing fee.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

3.1.8. Complimentary Tickets (excluded from Registration)
Free of charge for eligible recipients. (Subject to the below conditions).
Dates available for registration: 16 August until 10 November 2017.
• Complimentary ticket(s) via promotion code redemption will be provided at the discretion of Microsoft One Commercial Partner Team event lead Marnie Fulmer and entitles attendee(s) to a single Partner Summit ticket including Partner Celebration evening
• A Maximum of 50 complimentary tickets will be issued for Microsoft Summit attendees.
• This ticket allows full two day access to Partner Summit sessions, Opening Summit Keynote on Tuesday 14th November, The Expo, and the Partner Celebration event on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
• Registration for this ticket option is open to all Partners via the Partner Summit individuals registration page, and final ticket confirmation subject to final approval by a Microsoft Partner Summit lead.
• Complimentary tickets are valid solely for the individual specified on the ticket and are not transferable after 11:59PM (AEST) Friday 20 October 2017.
• This ticket does not grant access to the Microsoft Business Summit, unless the ticket holder is also an Executive from an Australian Gold Competency Partner, who has purchased a ticket to the Partner Summit or has pre-paid.
• This ticket is subject to availability and is also subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

4. Tech Summit



4.1. All Microsoft Tech Summit registrations can be completed on the Microsoft Tech Summit website https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/techsummit/sydney. Microsoft Tech Summit registrations and ticketing are subject to the specific Microsoft Tech Summit Terms and Conditions included on this site.
